Empowering Nonprofits. Strengthening Community.
The William & Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center (WJSNC) is managed by a volunteer board committed to helping local nonprofits thrive. We offer high-quality space and shared resources at low, affordable rates, making it easier for nonprofits tackling poverty and critical community needs to stay focused on their missions.
By taking care of the building, utilities, and common services, we keep costs down so our partner agencies can do more of what matters most: serving our community.
Our Story
In 2015, four local nonprofits joined forces with a big idea: share space, reduce costs, and grow their impact. With pivotal support from the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation, the generosity of the Strickler family, and the dedication of community leaders, that vision became reality.
Today, the Center stands as a testament to what’s possible when people come together to invest in their neighbors.
Who We Are Today
Located at 1114 West High Street in Mt. Pleasant, the Center is managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees committed to strengthening local nonprofits.
We provide shared infrastructure and support that help organizations do what they do best: serve our community. Right now, 6 nonprofit agencies call the Center home, collectively reaching thousands of local residents each year, helping families meet basic needs.
Why We Care
We believe that when nonprofits thrive, our whole region becomes stronger, healthier, and more hopeful. That’s why we’re dedicated to sustaining a welcoming, collaborative space where nonprofits can grow, partner, and ensure more neighbors get the help they need.
Grateful for Our Partners
The Strickler Nonprofit Center exists thanks to the vision and generosity of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation, the Strickler family, and countless donors, volunteers, and community members who believe in the power of nonprofits to change lives.
Together, we’re building a stronger community, one organization, one family, and one story at a time.
